After listening to the needs of today’s engineers, owners and inspectors, SENSR understood that in order for the benefits of structural health monitoring to become useful, systems would have to be developed that were affordable and deployable. In order to meet these challenges SENSR realized that a new sensing architecture would have to be developed – an architecture that was simpler, required fewer components and possessed greater capabilities.

The CX1 is a versatile all-in-one sensor for monitoring many conditions, the CX1 combines: accelerometers, inclinometers and temperature sensors into one small sensing module that can identify and measure 16 different states and conditions.
Save time and deploy quickly
The CX1 is complete monitoring solution that connects directly to a computer or a network using standard Ethernet or USB connections. This connection scheme enables CX1 users to connect to their laptop for quick investigations and enables a low cost scheme for integrating sensors into an existing or new network. When adding sensors to a building the CX1s can be plugged into an existing Ethernet network and completely bypass the need to run additional cables. For structures that don’t have networks, Ethernet cables provide a reliable, low-cost, one-cable solution for connecting and deploying CX1s.

The CX1 ships with a complete suite of software elements that tailor the CX1 to your specific monitoring need. For users who need a quick and easy solution to measure and analyze how a structure is performing; CX1s come with point-and-click Windows program that captures and graphs responses so you can identify thresholds and compare performance.
For users who need to incorporate the sensing capabilities of the CX1 into a new or expanding monitoring program, the included application programmers interface (API) and a command prompt program provide the gateways for quick expansion.
