The Gecko is a powerful 3-axis instrument that utilizes a standard USB connection to stream data directly to a PC for quick and easy data collection. Simply secure the instrument to the assembly that you want to measure and connect the USB cable to a computer and begin monitoring. The instrument faithfully records the assembly's tilt, motions, shocks, impacts, and vibration responses. Capturing the dynamic responses and environmental inputs that an assembly is subjected to is critical for understanding the forces within that assembly. Once the responses are captured the Gecko has a suite of comparison and analysis tools that let you review the data and understand complex responses. The Gecko gives engineers and designers the ability to make data-driven decisions that are based upon facts and insight rather than guesses and hearsay.
Easy to use and capable
The Gecko is a dedicated system designed to make collecting and viewing dynamic information as easy as possible by transforming hard to quantify responses into easy to understand plots and graphs. The system is comprised of two components – sensor and software. The sensor is a small, rugged 3-axis unit that connects directly to a computer is designed to measure a broad range of inputs from barely perceptible vibrations to impact and collision responses.
The software that ships with the Gecko is specifically designed for users who need to understand and communicate response dynamics. In addition to controlling the sensor the software includes several advanced features that are typically reserved for packages costing thousands of dollars including:
- Real-time FFT plots - Get a more detailed understanding of the response by seeing the real-time frequency components of a signal.
- Analysis and comparison - Identify trends and response changes by comparing up to 4 recording at once.
- Video linking - Provide the ultimate documentation tool by synching a video file to your recording session and see what inputs drove the responses.
- Labview integration - Follow our step by step guide for integrating the Gecko into your Labview environment.
- Application Programmers Interface (API) - Need an easy way to integrate a high-quality sensor into your existing monitoring program use our .NET API.
